Examples:
- Recording a lecture with slides;
- Creating a video tutorial;
- Developing a course with narrated slides.
By using the recording features within PowerPoint, we can combine visual slides with spoken explanations, deliver engaging and informative presentations and facilitate online learning and knowledge sharing.
Benefits :
- Easy creation of instructional content;
- Integration of visual and verbal communication;
- Enhanced audience engagement and understanding.
Challenges : One of the challenges that my classmates encountered was that their version of Microsoft PowerPoint was outdated and did not have have the recording capabilities. Second but not least, we tend to rely too much on the PowerPoint and little or no effort effort is put into improving one’s acting capabilities in front of the camera for an optimal teaching and learning experience.
Personal Reflection : To be honest, I’ve used a lot of video editing softwares as well as broadcasting softwares, but I was amazed to learn about this feature which was stranger to me. It’s so simple to use, making it one of its greatest strengths. You do not have to be a gamer and possess expensive hardware to include a front camera recording into a slides to make a final narrated video. Really easy to use and useful!
