by Nicolas Frichot
Google Forms (as an educational tools) is an online survey and assessment platform that enables educators to create quizzes, assignments, and feedback forms to engage learners and assess them in an efficient way.

Examples:
- Quizzes
- Assignments
- Feedback questionnaires
- Surveys
Aim: Google Forms simplify data collection, facilitate feedback and assessment and enhance collaborative learning in the classroom setting.
Benefits: Teachers can give assignments to students in the classroom, set up automatic corrections (for multiple choice questions) and get the results instantly. Thus, instant feedback can be provided and well as remedial work. Future benchmarks can also be performed against the results collected and progress of the learners tracked.
Challenges: As I was using Google Forms to create an assignment for my Google Classroom, I was limited when I had to customize my forms. The design as well as color palettes are limited. Furthermore an active internet connection is required in order to use this tools.
Personal Reflection: Despite the aesthetic limitations, as a future educator at secondary schools in Mauritius, I can say with absolute certainty that Google Forms will be useful, be it for giving simple assignments, collecting meaningful data and automating the evaluation process.
